REVIEW: Missha The Style 4D Mascara [average 3/5]

I needed a mascara and I got this one for $4 (retail $8.99).

Brand: Missha
Line: The Style
Make-up Type: Mascara
Origin: South Korea
Tested on Animals: No

REVIEW:Packaging: No box-plain black stick -same as all of the other The Style line items
Scent: non-offensive
Color: black
Texture: feels a little waxy
Ease of Use: standard
Effect: Good but not great; seperates lashes but still gives them that clumpy 'spider legs" look. later in the day they feel waxy and crumbly to the touch. I was pulling pieces off.

The verdict: Not worth $8.99 IMHO, a basic mascara....not bad but not great...

The claim:
A protective layer is formed on each lash, making your eyelashes look full and voluminous. mmm...not so much...
(available in 3D & 4D)

REVIEW: Missha Kiwi Foot Scrub [for the average foot]

I got both of these for the amazing sale price of $1.80 each - the other kind is Papaya
Claim: Contains apricot seed powder to help remove aged skin cells from the soles of the feet. Fruit extracts supply nutrients and moisture making the feet feel smooth and healthy.
Brand: Missha
Skin-Care Type: foot scrub
Origin: Korea
Tested on Animals: NO

REVIEW:
Packaging: Kiwi colored squeeze tube. I like that the flip top is also green. Pretty standard paper label on front. Would have liked to see big shiny colorful kiwis....
Scent: Not super-strong ^_^ or sweet, does smell like kiwi...
Texture: Creamy with rough exfoliates -non-abrasive
Color: N/A but it's also green
Ease of Use: Squeeze out and rub into feet. Wash off. Would prefer if it could absorb into feet and not need to be washed off...
Effect: It does smooth out the worn parts of your feet, but by the end of the day it's rough again.
Overall: I like it, it's light, smells nice, but ultimately it's for average feet and mine are beyond that...@_@
Unfortunately, Missha doesn't have an actual foot treatment or a stronger version scrub...
does anyone make a foot specific peel??

REVIEW: Missha Nail Polish : NOT long-lasting...[1/5]

Brand: Missha
Type: nail polish
Line: The Style
Origin: South Korea
Tested on animals: no

This nail polish is currently on sale for .29 each! That's incentive enough for me to try it. I ordered 2 colors- PK 108 and PK 102.

REVIEW:
PK 108 is actually a sandy shimmer color, and PK 102 is a bright pink sheer glitter.

So not really at all what is pictured...but I like PK108 better in person.

The site says: It is highly lustrous and glossy; it dries quickly and is long-lasting.

Actuality: It is lustrous, but not very glossy. It does dry quickly, but is NOT long-lasting.

Mine couldn't last through doing the dishes. It didn't just chip or peel, but it shrunk to a blotch in the middle of my nail the way other nail-polish looks after about a week to a few days.

Disappointing.

REVIEW: *Missha The Style Defining Lip Liner [3.5 stars]

The Style Defining Lip Liner
Transparent lip liner to keep your lip makeup clear without bleeding!!

(1) Keep your lip makeup clear- It outlines lip contour by gliding on easily without feathering and bleeding. It keeps your lip makeup all day long without double applications. (2) Natural lip contour with transparent color reveals- It makes your lip contour clear and natural by filling fine lines on the lips up instead of color reveals of common lip liner.

This only comes in one color: neutral. As much as I like Missha, I'm not crazy about The Style line...it's not as pretty packaging-wise. This is the one exception because it's already pink instead of the plain shiny black.

Brand: Missha
Make-up Type: Lip Liner
Lip liner Type: twist up
Origin: Korea
Tested on Animals: NO
REVIEW: Missha The Style Defining Lip Liner
Packaging: No box - the product is a pretty neutral pink -very pretty!
Scent/taste: N/A
Color: Neutral (only comes in one color)
Texture: smooth
Ease of Use: draw on
Effect: Really does prevent bleeding lines, goes on smoothly, color blends easily
Overall Summary: I really like it and would be very likely to get it again. A little frusterating that it can't be bought locally but has to be ordered online

REVIEW: Missha The Style Glam Pearl Gloss Red-101

I got this as a free gift with my $40 Missha order...
Here's what it says on the site:
A brush type lip gloss. Pearl glitters lips and gives point makeup. Large and small pearl powder glitters without any space and gives volumizing effect. It is visually pleasurable due to its jewel like looks, and High Shine Polymer maintains moisture and shine.

Brand: Missha
Make-up Type: Lip Gloss (sheer/glitter)
Lip Gloss Type: glitter/sheer, brush
Origin: Korea
Tested on Animals: NO

REVIEW:
Packaging: plain, with logo of The Style line
Scent/taste: neutral
Color:Bright pink glitter -sheer
Ease of Use: The brush is amazing; it glides right on and exactly where you want it.
Effect: shiny, glittery lips. Not sticky, but a little gummy
Overall: Nothing special outside of the applicator brush. Wears & rubs off quickly...
Pretty average and there are a LOT of lip glosses out there. I prefer both the Sugar brush glosses and the Hard Candy twist brush glosses which have more coverage and more color.

Actual photo of gloss: coming soon!

REVIEW: Missha Pomegranate Botanic Gardens Mask

Review -Missha - Korean brand skin-care

Missha is AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING! *love*

Packaging: Easy to open, new design graphic, pretty...

Mask Scent: light scent, not harsh chemical or alcohol scented (standard)

Mask Texture: Wet, smooth, not slimy

Ease of use: Just put it on, wait 30 minutes, take off, and pat (standard)
Experience: This one UNLIKE the Acerola was soothing and cool. I also liked the scent better, although both were pretty faint and/or vague.

The next day my skin WAS noticably softer, smoother, and no new break-outs (again unlike Acerola) *content*

Summary: Despite still having tons of face masks to try, I would -as of now- use this one again. I would have to order it from Missha (it's .90 right now online!) instead of just getting it at the store though...curse you shipping and handling!

REVIEW: The Face Shop @ Walgreens! (USA) Pearl Essential Face Mask

Review: The Face Shop Pearl Essential Mask Sheet

The Face Shop is a Korean make-up/skincare company that makes natural products.
They support nature and DO NOT test on animals! YAY!
There are US locations in NY and California, as well as Canadian locations. Ironically, Korean products can be found in those cities anyways in Korean/Asian shops.
Anyways, they partnered with Walgreens nation-wide to sell their "most popular" facial masks- 10 in total.
I have only been able to find Pearl, Collagen, Ceramide, Lemon, Pomegranate so far, which means I'm missing 5...

Description: Pearl is a rare, precious stone rich in calcium which helps illuminate, clarify, and hydrate lackluster skin...For clearer skin...

Packaging: pretty basic, easy open. "pearl text" is silver
Mask texture: Soft/ wet
Mask Scent: Hard to describe, but it's an amazing clean smell that I LOVE! It's strong but relaxing... + 5 stars
Ease of Use: Open, put on, wait 15-20 minutes, remove, then pat face. (Very easy! )
Mask Fit: These seem very big to me - they hang off my face a little which makes them slide and pull a little... -2 stars
Effects: Smooth skin, no breakouts! Moisturizing...
Summary: Not a huge difference skin-wise BUT I already have soft skin ...I loved the scent and the moisturizing was nice. Would get again - mostly for the scent!
In fact, I have saved the package and hung it up like a little air freshener...I'd put up the mask too, but it would be a little creepy...

*Note* This is my second face mask - the first was Missha Acerola and it burned and made me break-out. I'd say this one was a success. ^_^
